She works at the Structures Department of the University of Zagreb - Faculty of Civil Engineering since 2007. As postdoctoral researcher she teaches at the undergraduate and graduate courses subjects in the field of bridge engineering, design, durability and management of structures. Between 2009 and 2013 she worked as guest scientist at the University of Stuttgart on development of the numerical model and the FE software for service life prediction of structures.
Her main research fields are service life prediction and numerical simulation of concrete structure degradation due to mechanical and environmental actions; application of the non-destructive testing in evaluation of a bridge in-service performance, influence of climate changes on structures, design and repairs of concrete structures. She has worked on several research and professional projects related to bridge design and management. She has been involved in the organization of many international conferences on bridges and structural engineering.
Currently, she is project leader of an international research project on application of the developed model for service life prediction to existing bridges.
